10 Things You Can't Miss at the GABC Spring Campout
If you’re heading to the Georgia Bushcraft Spring Campout this weekend, get ready for a jam-packed weekend full of opportunities to expand your skills, great gear, and even better people. No matter if this is your first GABC event or your ninth, you’re bound to see something new. While it’s almost impossible to summarize the best parts of the Spring Campout in one blog post, we wanted to wrap up some of our favorite parts of the weekend. If you don’t have tickets yet, there’s still time, and we hope to see you this weekend!
1. The Classes & Workshops

With 40+ classes covering bushcraft, survival, and homesteading, learning is at the core of the weekend. From navigation to wilderness survival, there’s something for everyone and every skill level. This event brings together truly world-class instructors. Don’t miss your chance to learn from the best!

2. Homesteading & Off-Grid Skills
Spring Campout leans heavily into practical living — think gardening, solar basics, beekeeping, and chicken care. You’ll still find plenty of bushcraft-related sessions and vendors, but the Spring is really about self-reliance, which you can practice every day around your home.
3. The Community Camp Atmosphere
This is a choose-your-own-adventure weekend. Hang out in camp, meet like-minded people, and expect skill-sharing around the fire all weekend long.
4. The Vendor & Craft Area
Dozens of vendors bring gear, handmade goods, and knowledge. It’s one of the best places to see bushcraft gear in action. Don’t miss the Kids Vendor area, where young entrepreneurs get hands-on lessons in running their own business.Check out the full exhibitor list HERE.
5. The Bushcraft Flea Market
Bring your own gear, trade, barter, or score a deal. It’s a community-driven experience you won’t find at most events.

6. Evening Activities
Once the sun goes down, there’s still plenty to do at GABC Spring Campout. Be on the lookout for a kids bug hunt, bigfoot tales, astrophotography, and someone always has a guitar handy.7. Camping Your Way
From hammocks in the woods to full camper setups, the camping style is wide open — and part of the experience itself. Be sure to check out the camping areas. Fellow attendees are always happy to share their setups, and you’re bound to see something you want to add to your own camping kit.
8. Member & Raffle Experiences
Your admission includes raffle tickets, and this year we’re adding a GABC Member exclusive raffle! These always include tons of great prizes, so don’t miss out on the action!

9. Food, Coffee, and Camp Cooking
We’ll keep you fueled up with excellent coffee and meals from our vendors! Swing by the Outpost to grab a snack or a cup of joe, and visit the food vendors throughout the weekend. We never cease to be amazing with that they come up with.
10. The People You Meet

More than anything, this event is about community. Instructors, vendors, and attendees all contribute to a shared knowledge base that makes the experience unique.
This is one of those events where you can plan your weekend… or throw the plan out entirely. Either way, you’ll leave with new skills, new connections, and a deeper appreciation for time spent outdoors.
