New Summer Bushcraft Gear at the Outpost
The Outpost is stocked with tons of new gear that’s ready to accompany you on summer adventures beyond. The Outpost is happy to work with great brands from the bushcraft and outdoor community, and as we continue to expand the inventory and offerings, we’ll share some of those with you.
ENO Hammocks

ENO Hammocks have been in the game for many years, and no matter if you’re looking for an all-in-one backcountry abode or a world-class backyard hang, ENO has a model for you. With a range of hammocks, nets, and suspension systems, the Oconee Outpost has what you need to get set up with a hammock you can trust. Start from scratch by browsing our full line of ENO gear, or go all in with the OneLink Hammock System that includes a DoubleNest Hammock, Atlas Hammock Straps, a Guardian Bug Net, and a ProFly Rain Tarp. If you already have a hammock, the Parklite Hammock Chair is worth a look. This ingenious stand turns your hammock into a lounge chair in seconds for a whole new hammocking experience.

Topo Ti Spork

The mighty spork is a symbol of backcountry meals usually rehydrated and enjoyed from a bag, for several generations of backpackers and campers. This Ti Spork has got its own spin: a custom laser-etched topographic for added flair, and the long handle helps you dig out those final few delicious morsels of rehydrated goodness.
Council Tool Axes

Council Tool has been crafting tools that woodsmen can trust for 140 years, and the Outpost crew is excited to carry a line of their legendary axes and hatchets. They’ve made several appearances at Georgia Bushcraft events, but now you can swing by the Oconee Outpost or order online from home. There’s a Council Tool to fit just about every cutting task, from the compact Camp Carver or Flying Fox to the full-sized Hudson Bay.
The Sloyd from Bombproof Bushcraft

We love a good all-rounder when it comes to bushcraft blades, and the Sloyd from longtime Georgia Bushcraft friend and supporter Bombproof Bushcraft is an excellent option. Measuring in at 8.25 inches overall, paired with a 4.1-inch blade, it's large enough for camp tasks but small enough for fine carving and detail work. The convex edge provides great all-purpose geometry, and the 1095 steel takes a keen edge, plus it’s easy to maintain in the field. A 90-degree spine is perfect for scraping a ferro rod or for collecting tinder. The Sloyd
Oconee Gold Butcher’s Dust

Summer is here, and that means backyard grilling and cooking over a fire at camp. Keep some seasoning on hand that kicks every meal up a notch. Oconee Gold Butcher’s Dust is made up of crisp flake salt, coarse-cracked black pepper, minced garlic, & a whisper of powdered butter; this golden seasoning delivers a rich, savory crust that sings on steaks, roasts, chops, & burgers. We’re proud to rep a local brand that’s making some amazing seasonings and more.
Throughout the summer, we’ll be adding more great gear to the Oconee Outpost, so stop in and keep an eye on the site.
